Plastic kit of the British Bristol Beaufort Mk.Ia torpedo bomber.
Template information
The Bristol Beaufort was a British twin-engine torpedo bomber of the Second World War. Production of the Mk.I version began in 1939 and the 22nd Coastal Command squadron from the Thomey Island base was the first to receive this aircraft. The machines of the first production series were armed with a rear-facing, indirectly controlled defensive machine gun, which was located in a protrusion under the nose. They also usually carried one Browning Mk.II machine gun in each wing half, later two movable Vickers K machine guns were mounted, protruding from windows in the sides of the fuselage. The main armament was complemented by a Bristol Type 4 Mk.I gun turret with one or two Vickers K 7.7 mm machine guns. A total of 1,014 aircraft were produced.
