MEGAmotor - MIG 490 12 V Boat/Train - 133111
It is bigger version of the motor from product line 480 for direct drive of ships or larger train models (12–24 V DC). Motor has both side shaft. Brushes construction: well brushes.
MIG 490 12 V Boat/Train is very suitable for slow ships without use of gearbox: steamers, cargo and passanger ships, older tugboats, just wherever you need slow energy saving speed with large propellers (best diameter about 45–55 mm) with power consumption 15–20 W. Big advantage is also use of cheap gel 12V batteries. That voltage is for majority of motors too high and these gel batteries are still widely used.
