1:28 Pen Duick

A wooden kit of a non-floating model of Éric Tabarly's fast cutter, which was built in Ireland in 1898. Another of the amazing 1:28 scale kits from the renowned company Artesanía Latina.

Model construction

The construction of the model uses a fake keel and ribs, similar to a real ship. The hull is built using classic technology by planking the frame, in one layer.

Contents of the kit

The kit includes laser-cut plywood parts, hull planking strips, American oak veneer strips, brass and cast metal accessories, photo-etching, thread, cotton sails, a flag and parts for building a stand.

Construction instructions

The kit comes with an easy-to-understand video guide that guides you step-by-step through the construction of the model. The kit does not include printed instructions, but it does include a color plan with several views of the model in a 1:1 scale and a list of parts. If you want to view the instructions, simply scan the QR code on the box, which will take you directly to the manufacturer's YouTube channel.

Construction difficulty

By its nature, this kit is suitable for advanced ship modellers.
