The procedure is as follows:

1. Clean up immediately after use: It is important to clean everything immediately after use, especially before the material dries and adheres to the surface. Use a damp cloth or sponge to remove any visible residue of clay, epoxy or other materials.
2. Using warm soapy water: If the dirt resists plain water, soak the tool in warm soapy water. Scrub gently with a soft-bristled brush to remove all material. Avoid soaking for too long to prevent swelling or warping of the wood.
3. Proper drying: After washing, it is important to dry the tools completely. Use a dry cloth to remove most of the water, then let them air dry in a well-ventilated area. Make sure they are completely dry before storing to prevent the wood from cracking.
4. Cleaning hardened materials: If the material remains dry, you can carefully scrape it off with a knife or metal spatula. Be careful not to damage the surface of the wood during this process. You can also use fine sandpaper.
5. Regular maintenance: To extend the life of these tools, it is advisable to rub them with a little mineral or linseed oil from time to time. This hydrates the wood, preventing it from drying out and cracking.
