Product Description
Green Stuff World - Wooden Modeling Tools (5 pcs) - GSW8435646521480ES
A set of wooden tools for modeling clay, soft materials and thermoplastics, epoxy putties, etc. Wooden tools have their irreplaceable place in modeling due to their durability, lightness and smoothness.
Each tool has two distinct working parts, increasing their versatility. Two different work parts allow modelers to work without having to change work tools every time.
Each working part can have a different shape, it can be flat, rounded, beveled or curved. Wood, as a naturally soft and light material, enables precise and gentle work with materials without damaging them or leaving unwanted traces.
Thanks to their versatility, these tools are ideal for working on large surfaces as well as small details, while adapting to the specific needs of a given project. When modeling from polymer clay, they allow the user to shape texture and smooth edges, create patterns, and shape the contours of a part.
In the case of epoxy sealants and other thermoplastic materials, such as Worbla, wooden craft tools facilitate manipulation when the material is hot and malleable, helping to achieve desired shapes before the material cools and hardens.
Cleanliness of tools is essential to preserve their durability and maximum functionality.
The procedure is as follows:
- Clean up immediately after use: It is important to clean everything immediately after use, especially before the material dries and adheres to the surface. Use a damp cloth or sponge to remove any visible residue of clay, epoxy or other materials.
- Using warm soapy water: If the dirt resists plain water, soak the tool in warm soapy water. Scrub gently with a soft-bristled brush to remove all material. Avoid soaking for too long to prevent swelling or warping of the wood.
- Proper drying: After washing, it is important to dry the tools completely. Use a dry cloth to remove most of the water, then let them air dry in a well-ventilated area. Make sure they are completely dry before storing to prevent the wood from cracking.
- Cleaning hardened materials: If the material remains dry, you can carefully scrape it off with a knife or metal spatula. Be careful not to damage the surface of the wood during this process. You can also use fine sandpaper.
- Regular maintenance: To extend the life of these tools, it is advisable to rub them with a little mineral or linseed oil from time to time. This hydrates the wood, preventing it from drying out and cracking.
