XL Power - Nimbus 550 V2 Kit - XL55V2K03

Kit of the mechanics of a high-end 3D helicopter class 550 with CCPM 120° cyclic plate and flybarless main rotor for blades 520-570 mm. Powered by 4020-4035 class AC motor and 6S-12S LiPo. Contains complete mechanical parts with holders for standard servos and instructions. It does not contain the motor, electronics, carrier and balancing rotor blades.

The Nimbus 550 V2 K03 is a high-end flybarless helicopter of the 550 class, which allows the installation of a wide range of engines and electronics. So straight out of the box (or with the use of tuning parts) it easily meets the requirements of recreational pilots and seasoned 3D professionals.

At the heart of the Nimbus 550 V2 K03 is a compact 7075 duralumin duralumin 7075 rotor and servo mount bearing block, along with a carbon frame for unique frame stiffness. A small but important detail is the use of double-row angular contact ball bearings to support the main shaft.

The CCPM 120° cyclic plate is controlled by three standard servos with a precise system of rods and a large range of deflections. With the use of a tuning kit, it is possible to install mini servos instead of standard servos. The upper part of the ring plate with extended ball pins was reconstructed to remove the uneven differentiation of the ring and collective. The blade control arms are designed to bend or break in a crash, protecting other parts of the helicopter from damage.

The helicopter frame is made of 2.5mm carbon sidewalls to ensure maximum rigidity and crash resistance. The drive battery can be inserted into the bed from the front or the back, so replacing the battery does not require removing the cab. The bed has been enlarged so that it can now accommodate batteries up to 290x53.5x66 mm

The Nimbus 550 V2 K03 with the corresponding motor and controller allows the use of 6S, 8S, 10S, or even 12S LiPo drive batteries. The robust rotor head allows the installation of blades with a length of 515-570 mm. With the tuning kit, it is possible to install up to 620 mm rotor blades.

The tail beam consists of a rigid carbon tube with a diameter of 27 mm, where no additional struts are needed. The balancing rotor control and drive mechanism is housed in a one-piece duralumin housing for easy assembly and maintenance.

  • the possibility of inserting the accumulators into the bed from the front or the back;

  • Drive battery: 6S-8S LiPo 3300-5500 mAh (60C), 12S LiPo 2600-3300 mAh (60C).
