Plastic assembly kit of an American World War II medium tank in 1:35 scale.
Model specifications:
M4A2 (76)W - diesel modification of the M4 Sherman tank with a welded hull and a power unit with two General Motors 6046 diesels, equipped with a new turret and a 76mm gun with a vertical stabilizer. The combat use of the Shermans showed that when armor-piercing shells hit the sides of the hull, the tank is prone to ignition of powder charges of ammunition. In mid-1944, the tank received a new design of ammunition racks, which were moved to the floor of the fighting compartment, and water mixed with antifreeze and a corrosion inhibitor was poured into the gaps between the cartridge nests. Such tanks received the index "(W)" and differed from earlier versions in the absence of additional side armor plates. "Wet" armor had a much lower tendency to ignite when the sides of the tank were hit by shells and in the event of a fire. It was produced from May 1944 to December 1944, with a total of 1,594 units produced. Since gasoline was the standard fuel for tank engines in the US Army, diesel M4A2s were supplied primarily to the Allies under Lend-Lease, while M4A2 (76) Ws were supplied exclusively to the USSR.
