Send a questionThe Spektrum AR637T+ telemetry receiver with integrated AS3X+ and SAFE stabilization has the new AS3X+ stabilization algorithm, more sensitive sensors and higher data transfer speed, so there is no delay in control or response of electronic stabilization. The receiver features full-range telemetry and an integrated barometer that provides altitude readings and a vario function.
Features of the receiver:
SAFE and AS3X+ stabilization
The AS3X+ and SAFE are programmed and set up directly from your Spektrum transmitter using Forward Programming in 3 steps. To use SAFE and AS3X+ technology with a receiver, the receiver must be paired with a compatible Spektrum transmitter. With Forward Programming, no apps or cables are needed to program or make changes at the airport.
The receiver is equipped with full-range telemetry and an integrated barometer. The XBUS, RPM, voltage and temperature connectors can be used to add additional telemetry sensors that are available separately.
There is an SRXL2 connector for an external SRXL2 receiver (SPM9747) to add additional RF path redundancy. The SRXL2/Bind/Program/Batt servo connector is available for connecting Smart devices, programming and updating the receiver, connecting to a traditional connecting plug or connecting a battery.
New features of Smart Transmitter Model Files
The receiver is equipped with a button for easy pairing, offers SmartSafe and Hold Last technology, as well as preset Failsafe types that are set using Forward Programming. In addition, Smart Transmitter Model Files allow BNF models to be stored in the receiver to automatically set the model during pairing.
Compatibility with the Spektrum Smart system
The receiver is ready for use with Smart Avian controllers. Receiver output #1 (Thro) automatically detects if a Smart controller is connected.
If the Smart controller is connected, the receiver automatically reads all telemetry data from it. Otherwise, a standard servo signal appears at the output. This ensures compatibility with conventional regulators or servos.
Full range telemetry
The telemetry transmit power is 100 mW EIRP, which guarantees full telemetry range. The receiver is equipped with an XBUS port for connecting other telemetry sensors, as well as a connector for measuring external voltage.
Easy pairing with the push of a button
You don't need a pairing plug anymore! To pair, just press the button with the Spektrum logo on the top of the receiver. Pairing can be activated both when the power is turned on and by pressing the button after the power is turned on. This is advantageous where pressing the button and connecting the power at the same time is very difficult to do.
The possibility of pairing the receiver using the pairing connector connected to the Bind/Prog/SRXL output was still maintained.
The new generation of AS3X+ technology
The brand new AS3X+ 3-axis stabilization features a significantly improved stabilization algorithm that has been thoroughly tested by experts. The system is even easier to tune and can be easily optimized for any type of aircraft. Most aircraft can be prepared for flight in less than 5 minutes! The main improvements are Stop Lock and Release Rate Parameters, Heading Hold, Gyro Filtering, Canard Support and Thrust Vectoring.
Support for Smart Transmitter Model files
Smart Transmitter Model Files is a new feature that makes transmitter programming much easier. It consists of a set of transmitter configuration parameters that are stored in a receiver model file.
When paired with a receiver containing one of these model files, the user will be prompted to download said model file and overwrite the currently selected transmitter model with the model stored in the receiver.
This will give the user an easy and simple way to get the transmitter model settings for their BNF model without having to set it up themselves or search and download the corresponding model online.
Note: iX20, iX14 and NX transmitters are currently supported with the latest firmware updates.
Programming the receiver
You can program and set up the receiver wirelessly directly from any compatible Spektrum G2, Nx or iX transmitter via the Forward Programming menu. The receiver can only be updated to the latest firmware version in the Spektrum Programmer application, but the programming of the receiver itself can only be done in the Spektrum transmitter, compatible with the new generation DX G2/G3, NX, iX. To display the Forward Programming menu in the transmitter, the transmitter must be paired with the receiver. After pairing, Forward Programming will appear in the Function menu, and you can start programming the receiver.
SAFE technology
SAFE (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) flight modes help pilots avoid losing control of the model. SAFE uses AS3X+ to ensure smooth and stable level flight, and in addition, the SAFE function will limit pitch and pitch angles, so the model will not get into extreme flight positions.
SAFE Panic function
This feature is sometimes called rescue mode. Panic is a SAFE stabilization mode that will bring the aircraft into level flight from any position. It is usually assigned to a transmitter button or switch.
Telemetry Smart
To take full advantage of Smart technology, use a receiver with a Smart controller and a Spektrum DSMX transmitter with telemetry. Telemetry data such as current, voltage, temperature and rpm are sent directly to your transmitter in real time.
Integrated barometer
The Spektrum receiver is equipped with an integrated barometer (built-in pressure sensor) that provides telemetry data, altitude data and varia data without the need to purchase additional sensors
Note: Spektrum DX7S and DX8 Gen 1 transmitters do not display altitude or variometer telemetry data with this receiver.
The following transmitters do not support devices with Forward Programming: DX6i, DX6G2 (EU version), DX7, DX7S, DX7SE, DX7G2 (EU version), DX8 or non-computer transmitters. Check out www.spektrumrc.com for the latest updates on your receivers and transmitters.
