The Traxxas Nitro Slash RC car is equipped with a powerful TRX 3.3 combustion engine, with which it easily reaches a maximum speed of over 80 km/h. The package includes a two-channel Traxxas TQi 2.4GHz transmitter.

Traxxas Stability Management
The Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) stability system allows you to experience not only power, speed, acceleration and cornering at extreme speed, but also guarantees much easier steering and control on slippery surfaces such as dust, smooth concrete, or even ice and snow.
Chassis
The RC Nitro Slash is built on a proven space chassis. The lower part of the chassis is made of 2.5 mm thick blue anodized duralumin sheet. The motor is bolted to an adjustable CNC aluminum bed, which enables its longitudinal and transverse movement. The aluminum chassis also efficiently dissipates heat from the internal combustion engine. In case of using a different gear ratio, you simply move the motor on the adjustable bed.
The engine is equipped with a centrifugal drum clutch with a pinion. The upper part of the chassis is made of three-dimensional nylon molding, which is filled with carbon fibers for greater stiffness and toughness. Boxes for electronics, servo beds and fuel tanks are placed on the nylon molding. The purposeful use of metal parts guarantees a light and strong chassis construction.
Differential
The model has a driven rear axle. In the rear part there is a planetary differential, from which there are outputs to the semi-axles of the rear axles. The Slash has adjustable rear camber and front camber and toe. As part of the tuning, the car can be equipped with aluminum front and rear bars, aluminum couplings, aluminum steering rods of the front wheels, tuned shock absorbers, metal CV half-axles and the like. Optionally, the Nitro Slash can be equipped with aluminum Big Bore shock absorbers with TiN piston rods.
TRX 3.3 engine with EZ-Start starter
The car is equipped with a TRX 3.3 mid-range internal combustion engine with a volume of 3.3 cm³. The engine is equipped with a two-needle carburetor and a double air filter for easy adjustment. The recommended content of nitromethane in the fuel is from 10% to 35%. For normal operation, fuel from 16% to 25% nitromethane is recommended (16% for on-road, 25% for off-road driving). Engine starting is ensured by the EZ-Start electric starter. An electric motor is connected to the crankshaft of the engine via a one-way bearing and a gearbox.
The leads from the electric motor and the glow plugs are led to the connector on the body. The EZ-Start control unit is inserted into the connector, which contains a NiMH battery for driving the electric motor and electronic glow plug stabilizer. Starting the model couldn't be easier, just push a button. Optionally, the entire starter can be removed and the internal combustion engine can be started using the starter box, which is adjacent to the flywheel.
Traxxas TQi RC kit with BlueTooth connectivity
Traxxas has prepared for you a brand new line of RC kits for RC model cars. Originally, RC transmitters could be equipped with a docking station for Apple devices. Traxxas continues the development further and has prepared for you an RC transmitter with a slot for a wireless BlueTooth module (the module is sold separately). Thanks to this, you can wirelessly connect any device with a BlueTooth LE interface and the operating system Apple iOS (iPhone, iPod, iPad, ...) or Google Android (Samsung Galaxy, ...) to the transmitter. The package contains a fully assembled 1:10 scale Traxxas Nitro Slash RC model car with installed TRX 3.3 motor, servos and receiver with TSM (Traxxas Stability Management) stabilization. In addition, the RC set Traxxas TQi 2.4 GHz, electric starter EZ-Start with NiMH battery and charger for 12, Fuel tank, washers for shock absorber springs, tool set, sheet of stickers and instructions for use.
Must be purchased
To operate the model you will need 4 AA cells (pencil batteries) to power the transmitter, 4 AA cells for the receiver, air filter oil, engine oil and fuel. Alternatively, the car can be powered by trapezoidal NiMH packs.
Accessories for normal operation
For the normal operation of the RC car, you need tire glue, silicone oil for shock absorbers and a set of allen screwdrivers.
The bead of the tire is glued to the rim with tire glue. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly glued all the way around! If the tire is not glued all the way around, it may tear.
Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, with the fact that even after hardening, the glued joint remains flexible. Do not use ordinary instant glue - it is not flexible after hardening, and cracks would gradually form around the rim.
For routine maintenance, screw glue is needed. Screws screwed into the metal material (e.g. screws in the motor or the worm in the pinion) must be secured against loosening with this glue.
Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the shock absorbers. During normal operation, there are only slight leaks of silicone oil on the piston rods of the shock absorber. In the event that the surface of the damper pistons or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leakage may be large.
For these cases, so-called repair kits are supplied. In the range of tuning parts, piston rods with an extremely hard TiN (titanium nitride) coating are delivered to all shock absorbers. Piston rods with a TiN surface are easily recognized by their golden-green color. From our range of silicone oils, we recommend TLR, Traxxas or Medial silicone oils, see recommended accessories.
