The Traxxas Slash is a powerful, fully assembled 1:10 scale RC model car with 2WD drive and a top speed of up to 56 km/h. The model is powered by a powerful powerful AC motor controlled by a BL-2s speed controller. Features a clipless body and durable Extreme Heavy Duty components. The package includes a Traxxas TQ 2.4GHz steering wheel transmitter.

The AC motor provides the car with higher performance, has a long service life and requires minimal maintenance. The model has a carefully tuned chassis with independent suspension, thanks to which it can easily handle different surfaces. For driving in wet environments, the model is equipped with waterproof electronics.

The regulator with three driving modes guarantees fun for adults and children, thanks to the possibility of limiting the power to 50%. Control is provided by the Taraxxas TQ 2.4GHz transmitter with precise control mechanics. Of course, a wide range of tuning and spare parts is available.

AC drive

AC drive increases maximum speed and acceleration by up to 60% compared to other DC motor drives. Improved efficiency, high-speed ball bearings and an internal cooling fan give the motor a long life.

The factory-installed Extreme Heavy Duty suspension and drivetrain kit is made from the toughest materials.

Clipless bodywork

The unique body attachment system using beaks in the wheel arches allows for quick and easy battery replacement and a clean look of the model. Unlike traditional posts with clips, the body adheres to the clipless holder with a much larger area, so it does not crack.

Chassis construction

The chassis is made of nylon, which is filled with glass fibers for greater strength and toughness. The long wheelbase and higher ground clearance ensure the necessary stability and good cross-country ability.

Gearbox, adjustable disc clutch and planetary differential

A gearbox with a friction clutch reliably transmits engine power to the axles, the Magnum 272 differential planetary gearbox has gears made of hardened steel. This system requires absolutely minimal maintenance. Pinions and sprockets with different tooth counts are available, so you can fine-tune the model for both speed and technical tracks.

Revo Spec Torque Control friction clutch

Adjustable Revo Spec Torque Control friction clutch ensures smooth power transfer. A properly set slip rate protects the drive train, but does not reduce the model's acceleration.

Oil dampers

High-lift oil shocks use dual X-rings for a perfect seal and smooth operation. The robust design combined with a high oil volume can absorb even hard impacts in difficult terrain. You can tune the dampers to your liking by adjusting the preload of the springs or by changing the viscosity of the oil.

Adjustable connectors

Adjustable steel wheel suspension links enable individual tuning of the suspension geometry and thereby changing driving characteristics for specific conditions. The model thus offers amazing variability!

Front bumper and braces

The integrated front bumper is designed to absorb potential impacts. In addition, Nerf braces are installed on the sides of the chassis to absorb side impacts, which provide additional support to the body.

Servo steering

The Traxxas 2075 High Torque standard size digital servo with DC motor is waterproof. For increased water resistance, the servo box is fitted with a rubber seal.

Traxxas 3300kV AC motor

The Traxxas 3300kV AC motor provides ideal and affordable propulsion for 1:10 models. The motor is equipped with a Quick Connect connector for easy connection. Other features include:

BL-2s controller:

Sport: Default mode, forward, braking and reverse are possible.
Race: Mode suitable for racing. Forward and brake is possible; reverse is not available.
Training: Mode suitable for children or novice riders. It is possible to drive forward with a power limitation of 50%, brake and drive backwards with a power limitation of 50%.

Traxxas TQ 2.4GHz RC Kit

The model is controlled via a 2-channel Traxxas TQ 2.4GHz steering wheel transmitter, operating in the 2.4 GHz band. The transmitter is powered by only 4 AA cells. There is a rotary knob on the transmitter that trims the steering (the model goes straight if the steering wheel is in the center position). The status of the batteries in the transmitter is indicated by an LED. Reverse can be set on the transmitter on the throttle and steering channels.

Must be purchased

To operate the model, it is necessary to add 4 AA cells (pencil batteries) for the transmitter, drive battery and charger. Modern LiPo batteries provide high performance and a long driving time. The model can be operated with a Traxxas 7.4 V 5000 mAh LiPo battery. For higher performance and mechanical resistance, it is advisable to use the Traxxas 7.4 V 5200 mAh Hardcase LiPo battery. Batteries must be equipped with a Traxxas iD power connector.

Accessories for normal operation

For the normal operation of the RC car, you need tire glue, silicone oil for the shock absorbers and a set of allen screwdrivers.

The bead of the tire is glued to the rim with tire glue. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly glued all the way around! If the tire is not glued all the way around, it may tear.

Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, with the fact that even after hardening, the glued joint remains flexible. Do not use ordinary instant glue - it is not flexible after hardening, and cracks would gradually form around the rim.

For routine maintenance, screw glue is needed. Screws screwed into the metal material (e.g. screws in the motor or worm in the pinion) must be secured against loosening with this glue.

Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the shock absorbers. During normal operation, there are only slight leaks of silicone oil on the piston rods of the shock absorber. In the event that the surface of the damper pistons or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leakage may be large.

So-called repair kits are supplied for these cases. In the range of tuning parts, piston rods with an extremely hard TiN (titanium nitride) coating are delivered to all shock absorbers. Piston rods with a TiN surface are easily recognized by their golden-green color. From our range of silicone oils, we recommend TLR, Traxxas or Medial silicone oils, see recommended accessories.
