Expedition RC car model Traxxas TRX-6 Mercedes-Benz G 63 6×6 in 1:10 scale. It is a replica of a real six-wheeled car that uses the top-of-the-line Traxxas TRX-6 chassis. LED lighting
The model is equipped with complete LED lighting, which is permanently lit. Just turn on the model and let yourself be carried away by amazing evening rides. LED lighting not only looks great, but also illuminates the road perfectly.
Solid steel frame
The specially designed TRX-6 Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG 6×6 chassis consists of steel profiles firmly connected by transverse beams. The added transverse reinforcements guarantee rigidity and resistance to twisting, even for such a long model. Mudguards, attached to the frame, prevent the penetration of dirt and add authenticity to the model.
Axles with axle transmission
The TRX-6 chassis uses gantry axles with an axle gearbox. The axle gearbox increases ground clearance, reduces stress on differentials, gearboxes and cardans. The front wheels can be turned by an angle of 45°, the steering is ensured by a Traxxas 2075X servo with metal gears. Thanks to the new chassis, the model achieved a great approach angle.
Two-speed gearbox
The model is equipped with a two-speed gearbox. Gear change is controlled by the red rocker switch on the transmitter. This solution makes the TRX-6 chassis a very versatile model that can drive slowly as well as fast.
Lockable differentials
The differential locks are independently controlled by 2 servos (the differentials of both rear axles are controlled together). The power from the servos is transmitted via bowden cables to the differentials. The shutters are controlled by a three-position switch on the transmitter and provide the following combinations:
- All differentials are open.
- Only the front differential is locked.
- All differentials are closed.
GTS oil dampers
GTS oil shock absorbers provide smooth damping and perfect driving characteristics. The aluminum bodies of the shock absorbers are equipped with a nut for adjusting the preload of the springs. Specially designed springs allow independent movement of both rear axles.
DC speed controller
The regulator is designed for powering a 2-cell or 3-cell LiPo battery. However, the model can also be powered by 6-7 cell NiMH batteries. Easy selection of driving modes and other settings using the EZ-SET button. LED status indication of the controller. LVD protection against undercharging of the LiPo battery, thermal protection, waterproof construction. The Traxxas XL-5 HV controller supports 5 driving modes:
- Sport: Drive forward, brake and reverse.
- Race: Drive forward and brake. Reverse is not available.
- Training: Drive forward with power limited to 50%, brake 100% and reverse limited to 50%.
- Trail: Drive forward, brake, reverse. Handling near neutral is very subtle.
- Crawl: Drive forward, brake in neutral and straight back.
Titan 21T engine
The model is powered by a Titan 550 21T DC motor. The engine provides smooth operation even from low revs. For better cooling, a propeller is integrated in the motor, blowing air to the rotor.
Servo steering
The model is controlled by a Traxxas 2075X High Torque digital servo. The servo is equipped with two ball bearings on the milled shaft and metal gears for maximum durability. Waterproof* construction.
Gearbox and differential servos
The model is equipped with a total of three waterproof Traxxas 2065 micro servos. Two servos independently control the front and rear differential locks. The third servo then ensures the shifting of the two-speed gearbox.
Traxxas TQi 2.4GHz 4 Channel RC Kit with Bluetooth
In addition to precise and reliable control, the 4-channel transmitter is also equipped with a slot for placing a Bluetooth module (sold separately). The Bluetooth module will allow you to connect the RC model with the clear graphic application Traxxas Link, which you can install on your smartphone for free. The Traxxas Link app for Apple devices is available for free on the App Store , the app for Google Android devices is free on Google Play .
The Traxxas Link App is a powerful application that gives you complete control over the operation and tuning of your Traxxas RC model with stunning visualization and absolute accuracy of settings. Traxxas Link can display telemetry data in real time. You thus have an overview of, for example, speed, revolutions, temperature, battery voltage and the tilt of the model. You can share settings of RC models, you can create any number of profiles for a specific track or user.

Telemetry - model tilt
Using a wireless Bluetooth module (sold separately) and the Traxxas Link app, it is possible to track the model's pitch on your phone. In order to display other telemetric data (battery voltage, revolutions, temperature) installation of telemetric sensors is necessary.
Traxxas TQi 2.4GHz receiver
The Traxxas TQi TSM 5-Channel RC Receiver with Telemetry for Traxxas TQi Transmitters features simple operation and push-button pairing. LED status indication. 3-axis MEMS sensors are integrated in the receiver for learning the position of the receiver. The receiver is also equipped with two connectors for connection of telemetry sensors RPM (revolutions) and V/T (voltage/temperature). In addition, a telemetry expansion module can be connected to the 4-pin connector, into which you can connect up to 6 additional telemetry sensors, including a very accurate GPS speed sensor.

Must be purchased
To operate the model, you need 4 AA cells (pencil batteries) to power the transmitter, a 2S-3S LiPo drive battery with a capacity of 5000-7600 mAh fitted with a Traxxas iD power connector and a corresponding charger.
The model can also be powered by a 6-7-cell NiMH battery with a capacity of 3000-5000 mAh, and here too the battery must be equipped with a Traxxas iD power connector. NiMH batteries are not demanding on precise handling and are therefore suitable in cases where the RC model car is operated by children.
Accessories for normal operation
For the normal operation of the RC car, you need tire glue, silicone oil for shock absorbers and a set of allen screwdrivers.
The bead of the tire is glued to the rim with tire glue. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly glued all the way around! If the tire is not glued all the way around, it may tear.
Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, with the fact that even after hardening, the glued joint remains flexible. Do not use ordinary instant glue - it is not flexible after hardening, and cracks would gradually form around the rim.
For routine maintenance, screw glue is needed. Screws screwed into the metal material (e.g. screws in the motor or the worm in the pinion) must be secured against loosening with this glue.
Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the shock absorbers. During normal operation, there are only slight leaks of silicone oil on the piston rods of the shock absorber. In the event that the surface of the damper pistons or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leakage may be large.
So-called repair kits are supplied for these cases. In the range of tuning parts, piston rods with an extremely hard TiN (titanium nitride) coating are delivered to all shock absorbers.
